hey, romney, you and your friends have had an income tax vacation, why don't you pony up. Those "poor" people are just trying to stay alive, keep from starving or their children starving--it might cost you and your friends another vacation home.
These guys are unconscionable.

18. Yes, let's put LESS money in the hands of people who have to spend ALL of their money. |
|
All so the 1% can have even more and more tax cuts, corporate welfare and wars.
Right, because THAT'll fix things.
You bring this up to a Republican and he'll tell you the problem is "government (read: Demmycrats) waste and pork", as if those are the only things our money goes to. :eyes:

8k is not enough to make rent in most cases, let alone live off of.

32. $8,000 a year is ~$660 per month. |
|
Here where I live in the complete and utter boondocks, far from everything, a single bedroom apartment will probably run you around $450 a month. That would leave a person $210 a month to pay for food, electricity, clothing, anything necessary for their work, medicine, transportation, state taxes, etcetera. Let's not even talk about owning a car, having health insurance, or any sort of recreational activities ever. Much less saving for the future.
...and that's living in one of the cheapest parts of the country.

and many people are out of work. So, instead of getting rid of little boot's obscene tax cuts; his idea is to sock it to those who are already drowning. I just love it, can't get more stupid or greedy than that. With most corporations' profits increased to about 88% and US CEO's the highest paid in the world, we've got to squeeze that money out of the ones who are hurting.
I wouldn't vote for this guy if he bribed me with a million dollars.

All the taxes passed down to poor people: For example, when the landlords get higher property tax bills, they pass it down to the tenants.

43. Mittens know this: the real problem is not large highly-profitable corporations that pay no U.S. FIT |
|
nor billionaire hedge-fund managers who pay a 15% tax rate, nor those of Warren B's class who pay a lower income tax rate than their secretaries. No si-ree, the problem is those who do not have enough food to eat and live paycheck to paycheck who don't pay enough. You and your entire ilk are morbidly depraved, Mittens, obscenely morbidly depraved, and you wallow in and wear this depravity on your sleeves like a badge of honor. :patriot:

Either he's so fucking crazy that he really believes not raising taxes on the poor will destroy America...
OR...
He's so cynically, ruthlessly manipulative that he'd support such a thing in order to win favor with the right-wing fringe.

Saying we poor have no skin in the game, is faulty. That Corps pass on any and all expenses to us, makes us all the corporations tax payers by proxy. Thus, the only further skin we need in this game is marching and protesting.

9. There is an easy solution to that |
|
Have the government create some jobs with living wages for them so they will return to the rolls of taxpayers. Private industry and the "Job Creators" are not doing it. You can expand the tax base by increasing employment.

Those of us who don't make enough to pay income taxes also cannot afford health insurance or a trip to the doctor's office. I'll probably drop dead of stress-related illness before I ever again make enough to pay for medical care. And, there are millions more just like me out there. Yep. Being forced into a position were we have no tax liability WILL kill us.
Mr. Romney, go fuck yourself.

29. A Romney Presidency Would Lay Bare Any Pretense of a Democracy |
|
It will literally be a match up of the 1% vs. the 99% without any buffer whatsoever. With Obama and the Dems, there would be some sort of buffer.
With Romney and the Republicans in control, things would get raw pretty fast. OWS will seem like a picnic.

Give it maybe six months to a year, no longer, and there will literally be violent rioting in the streets -- setting fires, overturning police cars, the whole bit -- by millions of desparate, impoverished people with nothing to lose. Even the riots of the '60's will pale in comparison.

What a fucking GENIUS!
Where the hell has this guy BEEN?
So I'm sure, if hell freezes over and this Tool gets the reins, we can expect to have a minimum wage that actually pays enough to LIVE on?
And enough of a wage to pay taxes off of at the same time, after we pay for our exhorbitant housing, health care, transportation, food and education costs?
Halleluiah!!!
Wait...if this TOOL gets the nod, we can expect even fewer decent jobs (the decent part being the key, Republicans everywhere, to allow one to pay income taxes) and plenty of "manufacturing jobs" flipping burgers for $7.70 an hour 25 hours a week.
Those kind of jobs are killing us, alright.

He's trying to play divide and conquer between the 53% and the 47%. That works with certain brain-dead Republicans, notably the Angry White Male contingent (remember them?), especially older ones, but it doesn't work with America as a whole.

Let all the employers in America give their employees a 20% increase in pay and then tax them 10%, leaving them a 10% increase in pay and able to pay some taxes also. There... :-)
