Right wingers are accusing wealthy liberals who support Occupy of hypocrisy. As Steve Benen patiently attempts to explain, the word does not mean what they seem to think it means. But like so many right wing tropes, it's an old, old tactic -- the cartoon below dates back to 1997, but if I needed a week off I could clean up the art a bit and you'd think I wrote it last week.

Tom Tomorrow is the guy who politicized me, basically. I hadn't been paying attention (too much other survival stuff going on); I felt so uninformed that it seemed too much to catch up on....but his toons are so accurate and clear and info-packed, they helped me catch up. (well, at a basic level, anyway. I admit, there's much about the system, specific people, events etc. etc. etc. that I don't have stashed away in my brain)
