The People Responded To The Sex Harassment Charges With Their Money Contributiions - Really?.... |
|
I just heard a clip from Cain's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's show last night. He made the claim that campaign contributions have gone up since these allegations came to light and that the American people have responded positively to them in a most meaningful way - with their money.
Now really - do we know where the bulk of the contributions to his campaign came from? Did they really come from tge rank and file American people or did they come from moneyed organizations, contributors, corps?
I really don't know why common Americans would support this guy?

Too true. It's not gigantic sums of money we're talking about here (for folks like the Kochs at least). If the K. bro's dropped $1 mil into the account the day after the allegations (chump change for them) then of course it would LOOK like contributions have increased.
But, personaly, I like that the media really plays up the: Cain got MORE GOP support the more he was accused of sexually harrassing women. It helps shine the light on the fact thatthe GOP base realy is a bunch of hateful, disgusting, vile pseudo-humans.

2. Unfortunately in the current political environment I find Cain's contribution claim believable. n/t |

I didn't like him before these charges, because he just seemed to be the type of guy that hits on every pretty lady in a bar and then makes snide comments when she tells him to get lost or doesn't take no for an answer. And lo and behold, he is that type of guy....I wouldn't have let him anywhere near me in real life, he's the type I always avoided.
He's just slime.
On edit: I don't see why the repub party would even continue to back him, is he really the type of person they want to identify their party with? Is he really the type they want to hold the highest office?

5. How do we know these claims are true? |
|
I have zero interest in the other side but this one question has been on my mind. Has any one verified there has actually been a significant spike in donations to his campaign? I know "spokes people" and "pundits" are making this claim but so what they lie just to keep in practice.

6. Aren't There Filings That They Have To Make Regarding Campaign Donations...... |
|
Don't all campaigners have to file reports of their campaign financing totals?
