Here in Ohio, the absentee or early voting accounted for about |
|
40% of the vote in 2009.
Here in Cuyahoga County, there have already been 118,898 ballots returned. There will probably be a few more as they process today.
During the last off year election here in Cuyahoga County, there were 388,845 of which 169,530 voted early or via absentee ballot. That amounted to 43.5% of the vote.
Now in 2009, all of the mayors were up for reelection in all the municipalities. This year, only council so the turnout will be lower.
There should be about 275,000 voters this time in Cuyahoga County based on trends.
Just FYI

In the campaign I am working on now, we had over 2,000 Absentee requests. I am proecting between 5,700 and 6,100 votes in that particular city.
This particular city trends lower on absentee ballots.
