A plea to people who who don't plan to vote democratic next year |
|
Whoever wins next year will certainly be appointing more justices to the Supreme Court.
Roe vs. Wade is in jeopardy.
Unions are in jeopardy.
Healthcare is in jeopardy.
Social security is in jeopardy.
Look at what's on the ballots across America today.
I truly hope you will reconsider...

But what makes you think those things aren't in jeopardy under Democrats?

My question is do we want the Dems to do these things or the pukes? No mistake about it some of these Dems running are just fine with it.

9. This OP is about the supreme court |
|
and I've seen no evidence of a democrat signing legislation or voting to destroy any of those things.

5. And They Are Very Aware Of This |
|
I'd much rather they were upfront about the fact they're just lying to us constantly, and that inevitably you must vote, because at least one side is telling you lies you want to hear.

Its still a year to go, and also its not guaranteed that the Dems will be looking to save these programs, the way its been going lately it is looking like both the republicans and Democrats are looking to cut social security and health care in the super committee.

10. Only thing that I would add to that - who can actually win the election |
|
Unfortunately with the system we use for elections a 3rd party candidate only benefits the opposing party and that's something I refuse to do.

13. Giving 98% to the Teabagger Economic Terrorists and calling it a "win" inspires ZERO confidence |
|
that they would do any better the next time. In fact, 98% is probably the floor number. I'm OUT for POTUS for 2012, myself, except for any REAL Democrats that might be downballot here in Texas. No more "Bi-partisan" bullshit..let the GOP own their own policy. No more giving it DEM cover. And look, Obama has advanced hard-right GOP Attorneys General this year. See Texas and Utah for starters. ZERO confidence that Obama wouldn't pick a Teabagger for SCOTUS. Just to be "bi-partisan," y'know. It's time to ditch that shtick.

The way Obama and the Democrats have performed the last few years, its like choosing between the insane right wing and the moderate right wing when voting for the republicans or the democrats.

15. And what is the Obama administration doing about these matters? |
|
Social Security is going to get cut, under a Democratic president. Healthcare reform, a cruel joke. Unions, Obama isn't walking with them.
These matters are in just as much jeopardy under this administration as under a Republican one.
