2. How does the referendum read?
Edited on Tue Nov-08-11 07:53 PM by MineralMan
Are votes for votes for the repeal or votes against the repeal?

You're not clear in your post. If Yes votes are for the repeal, then we're losing.

7. Sorry about that!
A No vote on issue 2 means you are voting to repeal S.B. 5

I don't post a lot, sorry, I should have been more clear!

9. Alright. Thanks. It was not at all clear, and I don't have a copy
of the referendum in front of me. I'm glad to be wrong.

16. Very confusing website
This explanation seems to be clear the question was "yes, to approve the law; or no, to reject the law". But if the page in the OP calls it "Proposed Referendum to repeal Am. Sub. S.B. 5." with 'for' or 'against', it does make it difficult to work out what the page results mean.

3. 63% Against the repeal?
I think what we want is a majority of votesfor{/i] a repeal.

5. a "no" vote means the bill (SB5) will not be adopted. A no vote is a repeal of the bill the Ohio
Senate passed in March.

20. It sounds as if the rethugs deliberately worded the question
to try to confuse voters. Thank God Ohioans weren't born yesterday.

Rooting for "No on 2" from PA.

If a NO vote repeals SB5, then it's good news. The wording on the SOS site is very confusing.

11. for is for keeping, against is to repeal
took me a while to figure it out too.

http://www.cleveland.com/politics/index.ssf/2011/11/issue_2_early_ohio_election_re.html

The choice voters faced today was this:

* A “yes” vote was to preserve Ohio's new collective bargaining law.

* A “no” ballot was a vote to repeal that law.
