Poll question: Was OWS part of the reason Dems/Labor kicked ass in this election? |
|
I'm wondering OWS woke some people up.
Whatever, congratulations to all! :toast: An awesome election! :bounce:

1. yes. It made it "safe" for dems to be angry without worrying about the mythical "swing vote" |

3. This wasn't a democratic party victory. This was a victory for basic values. |
|
To the extent that the democratic party still follows those values, it's somewhat of a victory for them.

I don't think OWS had anything to do with tonight. They are very non-partisan and there is a ton of anti-voting sentiment. I'm in a lot of FB and other online OWS groups gloating to the idiots who said no one should vote today.

8. Yet a member of OWS was there on my tv talking to big Eddie |
|
It's easy that the movement is anti system, ergo anti voting. Some are and are loud. But it's far from monolithic.

It just isn't indicative of the responses I get on a daily basis. I certainly hope I'm catching a minority opinion.

16. I think it truly goes from camp to camp and day to day |
|
I don't have the full resources to do this right, a survey...
Somehow I don't think sending them across the country would work.

6. It had to feel good that all over the country people were occupying in support of ordinary Americans |
|
The working, middle and poor classes had to feel like we're all in this together as they went to the polls. Occupiers are entrenched on the front lines all over the country. Victories were in the air.

You did not have the option.
It's difficult to tell since OWS is not monolithic.
Tomorrow if cold allows, will try to get the feelings on ths at a local occupy. Realize one is far from all.
And that is my sociological/ poli sci analysis.

10. When people vote "we are all in this together" they vote Democratic. OWS has spread |
|
the 99% meme for 6 weeks. I do not doubt that it allowed people to vote a open human beings rather than authoritarian controlled robots.

12. I think Republicans kicked their own asses. They overreached. |
|
Not that many people know about OWS and of those who do, only about 30% approve.

13. No, I don't think OWS had much if anything to do with this |
|
Repubs, as usual, misread their 2010 wins and overreached. The public slapped them down and said that wasn't why you got elected.

|
It was labor that won the first skirmish not OWS. But I agree, congratulations to all!
