4. You can't beat somebody with nobody... |
|
...and Huntsman is a nobody.
It doesn't matter that he's a rational choice. He's shown no sign of life in the polls in months. Whether that's his positions or his staff, I don't know, but there's no different way he can campaign that's going to get voters' attention.

15. What is going to cause Romney to drop in NH and Huntsman to rise? |
|
The polling is NH has been consistent -- Romney is between 35 and 40 percent. Huntsman peaks at 8 percent and barely registers at all in some polls. So, if Huntsman will win, what is going to trigger the amazing turnaround that would be required? Or do you think all the Bachman and Cain and Santorum voters are going to suddenly decide to vote for a guy who accepted a government position from Obama and who publicly has stated his belief in climate change?
Oh wait, you weren't serious were you.

26. Agreed...I think it will be Romney now...before Perry self destructed, was sure it would be Perry. |
|
I'm surprised the Tea Party Republicans haven't swift-boated Romney yet.
Two ways Cain can win the Republican nomination... increase the favourable ratings of your candidate or build up the unfavourable ratings of your candidate's opponents.
The Tea Party Republicans seem to "like" Cain despite the allegations against Cain. It is hard to understand Cain's support hasn't softened. His supporters must not believe the allegations. Are his supporters strong enough to sway the entire Republican Party?
The Tea Party Republicans could tear down Cain's opponents. Forget the issues...the issues don't seem to be enough to sink Romney. Cain's supporters need to find something in Romney's background, beside the fact Romney is a Mormon, to sink Romney. Or am I wrong...is being a Mormon bad enough in the eyes of the Republicans to sink Romney?

16. The fact that you think he would be a good choice is why he's a non-starter |
|
in today's Republican Party. Sorry, if it were Democrats who were choosing from this group, he'd win in a landslide. But they are opposite wired in their political thinking...so he's running a hopeless campaign.

In a sane Repig party he'd be close to or at the front. Huntsman's problem is that he isn't certifiable bull-goose loony and has said he believes in science. Both are preemptive disqualifiers in the inmate-run laughing academy that is the modern Repig party.
