I won city council in Ohio!

I dont mean to brag but I am really excited. It came down to me and a Tea Party guy (this is in Boehner's district). The tea party guy didnt participate in the debates nor newspaper interviews...but he did put up a lot of signs and had a lot of mindless drones supporting him.

I beat him by less that 20 votes. One person in town emailed me with a quote I gave to the paper on how I am pragmatic and diplomatic. She said that was why she voted for me.

Sometimes the loudest voice isnt the one that wins. Liberals can win on ideas alone.

We had a vote for or against incorporation in our tiny rural community here in North Carolina (tiny as in 600-some registered voters in the entire unincorporated 'town', and had a decent turn-out of about 400 voters yesterday), and although we narrowly voted against incorporation (52% against/48% for), we got to vote for/select five "city" council candidates, in case the issue passed. I admired those folks for registering as candidates, and getting involved at the macro/local level.
