Yes Russell Pearce was defeated by another Repub - but - this is still huge...I'll explain...
The district that Russell Pearce is very RED - Red as Rush Limbos ass... I'm talking Red.
It is also heavily Mormon. Russell Pearce is Mormon.

There was no way that a Democrat would win in his district. Nope. No Way.

Jerry Lewis, who Won :) is a moderate Republican. Remember those?
Like a Voinivich - a Republican with a conscience. Lewis has spoken out & fought against the Papers Please law & said it was an embarrassment for the state of Arizona. Yes, those words came out of a Republican.

But the most exciting part of this is ~ This Recall of Russell Pearce occurred because of the Arizona Democratic Party.
With special thanks to Randy Parraz who worked his ass off to get this done. Randy Parraz wanted to run against McCain in 2010, but unfortunately didn't get the nomination.

Democrats in Az had huge wins tonite - including Mayors of Phoenix and Tucson.

I never thought I would say this again - but it was a great nite to be a Democrat in Arizona!!

:toast: :toast: :toast: :toast: Help us celebrate!!
