dashing regulation, preferential trade agreements, all sorts of things including reduction of tax rates. Their money can buy most anything. That ain't no key, it won't even get you in the front yard.

Why would a rich person want everyone to get a tax break if their true buying power lies in how much more they have than the other guy?

be it rates, loopholes. whatever, it serves them well enough. One percent of 1K is no big deal. one percent of 1B is something else, the differential more than serves the purpose.
