$4.50 gas prices predicted next summer
Posted: 9:43 AM

Think gas prices are high now? Just wait for peak driving season next summer.

The Oil Price Information Service says nationwide gas prices could average a record $4.50 a gallon by early summer, 2012.

That's based on the price of oil now, and the fact that prices increase every spring as demand and miles driven increases.

Oil prices unusually high right now.
Crude oil is currently at $95 a barrel, a record for November, when demand is traditionally low.

2. Of course, just in time for the election.
Run up the price of gas & take down the economy, in order to manipulate the election. You think these things happen by accident?

8. They actually have dropped over a dollar since earlier this year, but I suppose the oil companies
will try to make sure they are high next summer to help defeat Obama.

16. Is anyone else relieved by this?
I mean, we've had $4.50 gas just this past summer. A couple years back we had $5 gas.
Now if you said $7 gas, then I'd be worried fo shizzle.

19. Of course. It hits everyone hard.
Especially since we don't have any alternative means of getting around and we're stuck driving vehicles that get half the MPGs that they do in other continents. And especially since most of us live in sprawling slobburbias.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I like $4.50 gas. These prices are hurting me personally.
