THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT! What is the opinion of Buddy Roemer? |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-09-11 02:15 PM by amyrose2712
I only ask this because my so called Democratic Socialist boyfriend claimed he would vote for him and I was surprised and curious.
Edit I am voting for Obama-PERIOD.

1. I would vote for him in the Republican primary (MI is an open primary state) |
|
but I always vote a straight Democratic ticket.

2. He's not allowed to participate in the Republican debates |
|
Neither is the other guy....Gary whatever....
That should tell you he's a reasonable dude.

Followed Edwin Edwards, so only looks like a reasonable and clean politician by comparison.
A republican and significantly to the right of Mary Landrieu, so draw your own conclusions

7. He was awesome on Colbert's SuperPAC ad the other night |
|
Colbert needed a candidate for Fesderal office to appear in and ad mocking those that KKKarl Rove's SuperpAC has applied for permission to run, and Roemer was Johnny on the spot.

8. From the little I know about him, he seems like a decent |
|
human being. He fully supports the OWS movement btw, as he agrees with their reason for being there. He owns, or is on the board of, a small bank and has stated that they never put anyone out of their homes while other banks were foreclosing on millions of Americans, but instead, negotiated mortgage adjustments to help people stay in their homes during difficult times.
Don't know why he switched parties though. And don't know much about his positions on other issues. But he is not even allowed in the debates so he doesn't have a chance.
