Would Obama be able to issue a proclamation declaring that all corporations are hereby stripped of their person hood?

2. Yes, and I doubt it.
The Emancipation Proclamation was an executive order but it wasn't quite written in stone until the 13th Amendment passed. I seriously doubt that a current president would be able to fight the powers at be for Citizens vs. United. Remember, most of the slaves weren't actually freed by the E.P. because they were in states that were in the process of trying to separate. It was a bit dicey for 2 years or so.

3. Wartime emergency measure...
...and didn't free a single slave, except where the Confederacy was alive and kicking.

The freeing of the ones where the Union's writ ran had to wait for the 13th amendment.

I don't think so.

Lincoln had considerable leeway in issuing orders as Commander in Chief because the government was fighting an open rebellion.

5. Yes, but
1) It only applied to Confederate states; it did not free the slaves in Maryland and Delaware, for example;
2) No states affected by the proclamation had representation in Congress (where Lincoln's party controlled about 60% of both houses); with a different Congress, he surely would have been impeached.

6. It was under his authority of suppressing an active rebellion. Not applicable here.

7. What would be the likely scenario if he did make such a proclamation?
I see people saying it wouldn't work but I'm not understanding why it wouldn't. How would it play out?
