Is Katherine Harris now with the RAND Corporation?

Link: http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/2011/01/17/2011-01-17_put_the_fraud_to_rest.html

I know there are probably quite a few Katherine Harrises in the US but could this possibly be the same Krazy Katie that made it possible for the GOP to steal the Y2K selection and eventually curse the world with the corrupt and evil BushCo Regime? She has apparently dropped out of sight. I haven't heard anything about her for some time.

"As Dr. Art Kellermann and Katherine Harris of the RAND Corp. noted in a Daily News Op-Ed last week, only a quarter
of New Yorkers were vaccinated against the flu last fall, compared with a third of the people nationwide."

1. It's a pretty common name.
Seems to me that most people at the RAND corporation are pretty smart. Bush's Katherine Harris was corrupt as hell but was about as bright as your average radish.

3. I dont know, what role could she possibly serve in a "think tank"?
Maybe the people who actually work there use her head as a stand for their papers?

4. Apparently not.
This is a description of the Katherine Harris at Rand:

http://www.rand.org/about/people/h/harris_katherine_m.html

Here is Krazy Katherine Harris' educational background from Wikipedia:

'Harris graduated from Bartow High School in Bartow, Florida, in 1975, and then attended the University of Madrid in 1978. Harris received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, in 1979, and then studied under Christian theologian Francis Schaeffer at the L'Abri community in Huemoz, Switzerland, not far from Lausanne. While in college she was an intern for U.S. Representative Andy Ireland. Harris received a mid-career M.P.A. from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government in 1997 with a concentration in international trade. Before entering politics, Harris was a marketing executive at IBM and a vice president of a commercial real estate firm.'

Totally different educational background; and Katherine Harris of Rand has quite a few academic publications, while my head starts to explode at the thought of Krazy having academc publications.

Both first and last name are of course common.E.g. at one point when I was at school, there were 5 Katherines in my class; and I remember one election when the two main rival candidates for the seat where I live were both called Harris.

6. OK thanks.

I didn't think Krazy Katie had the creds but some times creds loses out to other factors.

7. Ah, but they share the theological crazee
Note 'Christian theologian' Schaeffer at his 'community' in Switzerland. Schaeffer was an evangelist and political activist, perhaps the single most influential person in the creation of the 'Religious Right' in American politics. A very hard core Dominionist type, his son Frank sort of tries to make up for his work with his father by writing centrist attacks on liberals instead of right wing attacks on liberals. He and his father were radical anti-choice and anti-gay activists of not only the worst kind, but of the prototypical kind, that is they showed the others how to really snarl and breath fire, and to do so in politics, not just church. I'd say the Schaeffers are two of the most destructive Americans ever in terms of our political discourse, and they did most of it from abroad, in the grand tradition of the worst of the worst.
This tells me she is right wing, Dominionist, anti-choice and anti-gay. If she is no longer those things, she's have to say so. Her resume is like Liberty University with a better vocabulary.

9. The one at Rand doesn't seem to have any theological connection
I agree about the theocratic leanings of the Krazy one. Quite scary.
