We still haven't seen the GOP candidate on stage.
As we were shocked when McCain chose Palin, so will we be shocked when the rethugs choose X... Truth be known; McCain didn't choose Palin, she was FORCED on him. TPTB will at some point put up someone not presently involved in the race.

Mark my words.

We haven't seen the Rethug nominee yet. At least, not on the stage in any of these mock debates.

1. From everything I am hearing and reading, there isn't enough time to bring anyone else new in -
has to do with $$$, organization, etc - I still think mittens will be the one.....

But they certainly do collectively seem like one endless SNL skit.....

Money is no object when the Koch's are involved.

2. you and me maybe the only two who seem to see the obvious

what most people don't haven't focused on is that Republicans have changed to proportional primaries before April 1st.

With Romney having a fixed ceiling at less than 30% the also rans can continue deep into the primaries and no one gets 50%.

Its going to be a brokered convention.

Some Republican Governor will be dusted off and they will reboot the election.

Mitch Daniels, Barber even Jeb Bush.

6. You nailed it... Brokered convention... and here's why:
It's going to grab the public attention in a way that hasn't happened in almost a century.

Huge drama at the Rethug convention... 24 hour news cycle = Campaigning without spending money.

I wouldn't be surprised if Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan, and Jeb Bush were all being pulled together and tutored in foreign policy issues. It's not necessary in this day and age to have them together in the same place, but possible to have them schooled at the same time via whatever medium works best at the moment.

The splash that dummy Perry made when he got in will be MAGNIFIED by the lateness of the entry by one of those three.

7. My bet is Jeb Bush who knows that he can't go in there until the party
can see "no other choice." He will not be elected, not if the votes are counted honestly.

8. Jeb isn't that stupid
He'd lose. Badly. He knows it. He's going to keep his powder dry until 2016, when he hopes enough people have forgotten about his brother.

9. look for a surrogate like Daniels or another governor.

They can't let Romney have it - he will alienate the base and the tea party.

Governor or former governor with resepcted fiscal creds who will pull enough to keep it respectable.

In 2016 Jeb will be back after Obama has undone most of his brother's idiocy.
