On the one hand, I normally cheer art coming to America, but I cannot help this is helping a certain drunk driving daughter of Sam Walton try to buy a legacy, as well as put all that art in a place that, frankly, will not give a damn about it.

1. Well, really....I can remember going to museums, theaters, etc. as a kid,
and I really didn't give a shit whose name was over the door.

If she wants to use her money to do something to beautify the lives of people in Arkansas, that's a good thing--better than spending it all on vodka. I'm not going to dump on her for making a good purchase, for once.

Thing is, maybe the people won't give a damn about the place now--but maybe their kids will, if given half a chance. We all have to start somewhere.

2. I beg to differ with what I would call an unfair characterization of the community near the gallery.
It doesn't seem fair to presume that they "will not give a damn about it".

Indeed, these are places that need art the most.

I'm very glad that it's there and not in a big city.

Good for them, it's a beautiful museum in a beautiful part of the country.

Just a wild estimate. If museum is four million.

She is in a bubble world of extreme uberwealth.
