My guess, Paterno will suffer the same fate as Robert Kadashian |
|
Paterno seems to be a decent guy, within 30 days it will hit him that his behavior was deplorable and indefensible. That knowledge will literally kill him.

1. From his informal words tonight, I think it is already hitting him. |

To put it in perspective this guy was a god to college football fans. I have respected him since I was a teen, mostly clean program, always competitive.
But if he was my father I would not be able to look him in the eye or ever have respect for the poor decisions he made.

5. It doesn't need to be put in perspective for me. |
|
Born in WI, grew up in MI and from a football family. Big 10 football is a fall pastime for us. All the same, we need to stop treating our coaches, players and programs as idols to be placed upon pedestals.

8. And I think that is the hard part for me |
|
all of the other coaches in the last 30 years, no big deal. I never looked up to any of the posers in the SEC, Hayes, Bo, forget it. Tressel, tool. Robinson at SC, another douchebag, James at University of Washington, maybe, but not for long term.
Paterno appeared to be the last guy and he failed in an epoch manner.

This may be one of your predictions that actually pan out in the next few years.

3. I think at his age when you lose what you love your body starts to shut down |
|
My grandfather lived to the age of 83 and was a very healthy active person up until about 6 months before his death.
He loved his freedom and he loved driving but his license was taken away from him. Since he lived in an old farm house, to him he just lost something inside of him. My mother would visit him two days each week (she lives 2 hours a way) and a niece down the street would help him the other days. But he couldn't drive and his health just kinda went down him from there.
Joe has been coaching football since I was born. I suspected he planned on coaching until he dropped dead on the field. I could see his body starting to shut down because of this.

7. Robert Kardashian died. Was it about guilt? |
|
I knew he was a friend of O.J.'s and Al Cowlings.
Notice they never charged Al Cowlings with aiding and abetting the escape of a suspect since he was driving the white Bronco in the slow speed chase.
:banghead: :wtf:
