Subscribe to the Arizona Star, the most progressive newspaper I have read since the Berkley Barb. AND... They have actual journalists!

We moved to Tucson in December from a lifetime in the S.F. bay Area. The first day I was here, I bought the Az. republic(an) and the Star. The Star just blows me away! I subscribed immediately. The Star is much better than the San Jose Merc. They have in depth reporting, not soundbites passed off as news. I learn something useful almost every day from this paper. Add to that their unabashed progressive bent and I look forward to starting every morning with coffee and the Star.

As to those who are boycotting Arizona because of all the right wing crap you hear in the media, you are missing out on one of the most amazing states I have been in. maybe Phoenix, not so much but Tucson, based on what I've seen so far, is every bit as progressive as Berkley or S.F. And the scenery, flora and Fauna are must see.
