Will Obama Cave in the Next Hostage Situation?
Republicans are lining up gleefully holding a debt ceiling vote hostage in exchange for massive spending cuts. This happened under Clinton and he called their bluff. After a few hours and the realization that Social Security checks weren't going out, Republicans had to cave and vote for it. I hope our President grows the cajones to do the same thing in a few months...what do you all think?

Cantor Says House Won’t Raise Debt Limit ‘Without Serious Cuts’

By JENNIFER STEINHAUER

The majority leader, Eric Cantor of Virginia, put the Obama administration and the capital markets on notice Tuesday that the Republican-led House would use its leverage to avoid a vote to raise the federal debt ceiling if spending cuts were not made first.

“We are simply not going to accept the increase in the debt limit without serious cuts,” Mr. Cantor said in a briefing with reporters on Capitol Hill, adding, “if our votes are needed, which I assume the president thinks they are,” then such a vote would be linked to budget cuts.

1. Then cut the military budget first, then negotiate other departments.

2. I'm not so sure those kind of cuts are the things Repubs have in mind...why not call their bluff?

3. Now what kind of headline is that--
Will Obama cave in the next hostage situation? That sounds like something the media would say. You sure are giving Mr Cantor enough room. Mr Cantor's mouth is full of crap and we all know it. Pres. Obama knows it too.
