10,000 students rioted for the firing of their head coach, not one arrest was made.
but
39 students were arrested last night at UC Berkeley just for putting up tents on their campus.
What is wrong with this picture?

3. And it was a a spectacular riot. |

Cars were overturned and damaged, etc.
But again, not one person arrested.
However, when you consider this is an area of the world where for good of the sporting world, child molestation was tolerated...

I have check and still waiting, I think if anything this shows the great divide that people here in this community are fighting against.

6. I have an idea on this ... |
|
The community around PSU is a symbiotic community.
It is part small town, part college campus. Each exists because of the other.
Every football weekend, PSU is a giant party. The community and the police know that, they have known it for years.
And so, a night like last night, large number of students taking to the streets, is not new to them. The community and the police know that the worst thing they can do it inflame the situation. And so, they stay back, and try to allow the students to exhaust themselves and go home. They know this is a short term event.
This is very different than any OWS event.

It makes no sense whatsoever unless of course you're part of the 1% Club.
