The US government has no problem giving aid to Israel for missiles, building roads and schools in Iraq and Afghanistan, and giving aid to other foreign countries.
Perhaps it is time for the American people to go around the world with our hat in our hands and ask all the countries around the world if perhaps they have a little extra cash on hand if they would consider sending some this way so the American people could pay their teachers, feed their poor, fix their roads and bridges. I mean as long as we are spending all of our money on our military to force the world to adopt democracy the least they could do is pay a little back to the policemen of the world.

I'd rather have other countries offer it because it just might be the right thing to do.
Then again, with our current government... it might not be the right thing to do. It would never make it to the people who really need it.
eta: We don't really need it. Our government needs to get its priorities straight. They need to listen to what "We the People" are trying to tell them.
