Occupy Wall Street marchers visit Central Jersey

There were a more than the usual number honking car horns on Raritan Avenue in Highland Park Thursday night.
The extra honking was show of support for the 25 or so demonstrators on the corner of Raritan and South Adelaide avenues waiting for the arrival of the Occupy Wall Street marchers, who are trekking from New York City to Washington, D.C., to call for the ending of the Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy.
Dorothy Schwartz of Piscataway was happy to see them come through the area.
“Perhaps it will mobilize people to be more aware of the Occupy Wall Street movement,” said Schwartz, who is a member of the Central Jersey Coalition Against Endless War. “It will bring it home and make people aware that this is going on if they weren't already aware of it already.”
