It should be pointed out that a Corporate Officer's Fiduciary Duty is almost always in direct conflict with the General Welfare that is included in the Constitution that public servants have sworn to uphold and defend.
An oversimplified example:
If a manufacturing process produces a toxic chemical as a byproduct, it is the fiduciary responsibility of the employee of the company to dispose of it in the most cost effective way possible. It is in the best interest of the general public to dispose of it in the safest way possible. These are almost always in direct conflict.
Politicians worrying about Corporate profits more than they worry about citizens is at the heart of the problem but the (R)s continue to insist that it will solve the problem. Just F__king Crazy IMO.
