I watched "The man falling" and Miracle in Stairway B" on youtube last night and it made me reflect on 9/11 and the fact that it has been 10 years.
Is there any single event that is more symptomatic of the utter failure of our country in recent times.
First a moron ignores all warnings of the previous administration that radical Islam is our biggest threat and the new idiot administration led by Cheney discounts all advise and goes right back to the cold war. 9/11 happens and we are caught flat footed.
We start an unprovoked war and it kills 4,000 people and takes us to the brink of bankruptcy.
Finally, ten years later and hardly anything is any real shape or form has been done at the site. The memorial is supposed to be done for the anniversary.
Bush should have led the building of the museum and memorial and it should have been completed no more that 5 years after the attack.
The building of the skyscraper should have been completed no more that 7 years after the attack. It only took 3 years to build the original World Trade Center.
There is some responsibility on both sides but mostly with the republicans.
