2. I'll Still Take the Ten Bucks
I can't use gratitude, but I certainly can use ten bucks. Or a free car. Hell, I'll settle for an apology. Eighteen suicides a day, and the important thing is that civilians feel good.

Sorry about your hand, Marine.

3. Why do you feel DUers owe you an apology?
You might be better served requesting it from the command structure and those who ran it when you served.

4. Nobody Here Owes Me an Apology
I certainly didn't mean to imply that anyone at DU owes me an apology, just as I don't think anyone here owes me any gratitude either. Let me list my preferences - in order. If you feel you have to honor me on Veterans Day, give me ten bucks. However, if you insist on saying something, I'd rather get an apology than a thank-you. But I don't want a thank-you.

I'd actually prefer that people did nothing. Why should veterans feel good about crumbs of gratitude offered by corporations? Corporations! Haven't you been paying attention?

Corporate crumbs for the Veteran

5. Great list. Far better use of our military than wasting the to make the MIC....
... even wealthier.

Thanks to all our veterans!
