Grand Jury: Sandusky Sexually Assaulted Boy In SA (San Antonio, Alamo Bowl)
http://www.ksat.com/news/29739260/detail.html

SAN ANTONIO -- Police are looking into allegations that one of former assistant Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky's eight victims may have been assaulted in San Antonio.

Sgt. Chris Benavides with the San Antonio Police Department said sex crimes detectives have opened the investigation.

According to Sandusky's grand jury indictment, one of the eight victims was brought to San Antonio during the 1999 Alamo Bowl game.

1. It was his last game.
He then retired at 55, which for a football coach is quite young. Despite being defensive cordinator for a sucessful major college program, he never coached in college again.

2. "Sandusky did threaten to send him home from the Alamo Bowl in Texas… when Victim 4 resisted..."
Is that the pedophile version of "date rape?"

What a sick bastard. Hope Texas fries him if he's still alive after serving time in Pennsylvania.

3. Doesn't that make this a Federal case then?
Transporting minors over the state line and committing a crime... that's some sort of Federal law, correct?

Sounds like a Federal case to me, let's see if it becomes one.

5. There we go... so if this can be proven, will it have to become a Fed case?
Or can the Feds pass on it and leave it in PA's hands?

I'd imagine that Sandusky is a serial pedophile and has probably abused kids in every state.

6. I would think PA
would prosecute first. However if Sandusky did commit a crime in Texas, that would not have a bearing on the state case. But I'm just speculating, perhaps someone with some legal expertise could offer more.

9. I don't get why it has to be a Federal case.
Is it, yes. But if a PA jury puts this guy away for the rest of his life, then it is a waste of resources.

10. It's going to be hard to seat a jury in PA
It's a huge story and there aren't that many people who won't follow it at least somewhat.

8. There were other bowl games on the timeline also
I recall other bowl games listed where one of the victims was with Sandusky and his wife, listed under "family". I wonder if he took any of the kids to regular seaso away games? He could have committed Federal crimes literally all over the place!

Speaking of his wife, what the hell was she thinking all those years???????? My Mom is 75 and she would have gone Neanderthal on a man over crap like this long before he reached retirement age, so I can't dismiss her head in the sand because of her generation.

I was reading that Grand Jury document and it describes time after time where he had boys staying at his house. That document details some of the specific things he did to those kids while they were in that house and it is nauseating.

He has these little kids staying at his house and he's sleeping with them in a bed in one of the guest rooms--and his wife never notices this? REALLY???? She never noticed anything out of line in all that time?

:puke:

That wife never noticed him taking these kids along to away games and bowl games? She never noticed them on the bus/plane, in the restaurants, or in the HOTEL??? REALLY????

I ain't buying that for a minute.

My mom is in her 80's and, yes, it was a different generation in terms of sexual attitudes, I'll grant you that. Don't however, make the mistake of thinking they are all stupid or blind to stuff staring them in the face--they are not. You freaking NOTICE your husband sleeping someplace other than where he's supposed to no matter what age you are, and you notice an extra kid in your world.
