The Christian Conservative Billionaire Behind Michael Jackson’s Final Tour

http://blog.buzzflash.com/node/13141

Jackson is dead; Dr. Conrad Murray has been convicted of manslaughter; Philip Anschutz has walked away with millions

-snip-

And one of the more interesting pieces of information that surfaced during the trial was the role played by Philip Anschutz, the head of the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), the company that was chiefly responsible for setting up Jackson's comeback tour.

-snip-

In its post-trial report, foxnews.com pointed out that, "The pop star had plucked the little-known cardiologist from Houston to be his personal physician."

But had Jackson really "plucked" Murray or had Murray been "plucked" for him by executives at AEG?

According to Portfolio.com's Matt Haber, "AEG was so committed to keeping the event on track, it paid ... Murray to act as the singer's personal physician."

-long snip-

3. Anschutz owns The Washington Examiner, a cheap Rightwing Pulp staffed by ex-Moonies
Edited on Fri Nov-11-11 11:17 AM by leveymg
The Washington Examiner is a free, throwaway bus stop tabloid. It's owned by conservative billionaire Philip Anschutz and staffed by a bunch of Moonie Times and National Review alumni. Not really much news in that pulp - a lot of advertising for discount furniture stores.

But, here's an interesting connection from last year. DHS ICE was going to use that paper as an outlet for an Operation Mockingbird style government disinformation program. See, http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x8251116

4. Dead Men Tell No Tales
There are many people who "caused" Michael's death. Conrad Murray just happened to be the easiest of them to scapegoat, but there were and are several other parties who looked at Michael purely with $$$$$ signs, and possibly other motivations.

Much like other things in history, we'll Never know the real story about what happened. Just enough to keep us satisfied and content.

6. AEG is trying to become the owners of the LA football team. They're not well liked here.

8. It's not an expansion team - the plan is to bring an already existing team over.
Small market - the rumors are Jacksonville or Carolina right now.

9. The Mob always has a warm spot on the bench, no matter where they play within the League.
Along with a lifetime supply of Gatorade.
