So, they want proof of their intransigence? Here, choke on this....
http://old.news.yahoo.com/s/dailycaller/20111108/pl_dailycaller/mcconnellwhitehousepurposelye28098designede28099obamajobsbilltoe28098faile28099video

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said on the Senate floor Tuesday that the White House intentionally “designed” President Barack Obama’s $447 billion jobs bill to “fail” with the hopes of making Republicans appear “intransigent.”

http://newsjunkiepost.com/2010/03/02/republican-obstruction-at-work-record-number-of-filibusters/

When the Democrats regained tenuous control of the 110th Congress in 2007, filibusters by the new Republican minority skyrocketed. Following the landslide victory of Barack Obama and progressive Democrats in 2008, there was a clear mandate for change in reform in America, yet the 111th should set a new record for filibusters as part of a clear pattern of obstruction from those who do not want change or reform.
...............
For those unfamiliar with the procedures, a senator can stop progress on any bill by speaking on and on and on on any topic they choose, unless 60 Senators vote to invoke cloture, there by ending the endless ramble. The first instance of cloture being used was to end a filibuster of the ratification of the Treaty of Versailles by isolationists in 1919. Following that, there were only 3 instances of cloture until 1960.

3. McConnell is a lying POS.
He goes on TV and says "Obama had two years where Democrats controlled both houses of Congress and they got little accomplished" or whatever. He doesn't bother to mention his obstructionist fucking elephant sitting on the works, shitting all over the place, preventing anything from happening.

:puke:

4. Yeah..I have had a bagger throw that at me...I had an answer for that
Many critics of the Obama administration often claim that the President has failed to accomplish anything even when he had a super filibuster proof majority in the Senate. Most mistakenly think that he had a sixty vote Senate for the first two years of his first term and that he squandered that opportunity.
......
The 60th Senator, Al Franken of Minnesota, was locked up for months in recounts and legal challenges from a very close race with incumbent Norm Coleman. Finally, on July 8, 2009 after eight months of delays, Franken was sworn in as the 60th Democratic Senator (this includes the two independents who caucused with the Democrats). This was the first time Democrats had a filibuster proof majority since 1958.
......
But six weeks later on August 25, 2009, Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy passed away.

http://538refugees.wordpress.com/2011/06/22/the-democratic-super-majority-myth/

After that, there was a break, some disarray, mourning and confusion of replacements and law, arguements and finally an election to hold and beginning Feb 2010, Brown was elected...and that was that.

9. Ignorance, brain washing, watching FOX, Rush & their propaganda.
Or to send a message to Obama...shape up or they'll ship out. I guess that's OK as long as they end up voting Democratic...but such a shame they won't help with GOTV.

10. Or it could have to do with things he did have power over, like assassinating US citizens.
I'd rather have Obama than any of the current slate of garbage the repubs are running. But that's really not saying much.

12. I don't think I'm the only one that would find that unreasonable...an indefensable posture.
You are stating that people will delibertaly pass along lies, to help defend their posture on unrelated issues that they feel passionate about.

I call bull.
