Have to laugh, Casey Anthony has more votes than Michele Bachmann! But, Paul Ryan has 23 voting for him. Currently, Steve Jobs is out ahead of 'Arab Youth Protesters', SEAL Team 6, the 99%, and Gabby Giffords.

1. I can't believe they list "The 1%" as a candidate.
That shows you whose side Time is really on, when push comes to shove.

2. Well, in all fairness, Time does say "Who influenced the news most, for better or for ill?"
...and the 1%-ers do fit the "ill" category.

7. Yep, just because we don't like or agree with some one does not
negate the extent of their impact...

5. Well, they've had Hitler and Stalin before now.
People seem to be nominated for being influential, whether or not in a good direction.

8. well, they have the 99%, so maybe they're trying to be fair.
Or, give people the satisfaction of voting 'No!' :)

3. Didn't they ignore the votes last year?
Assange won on votes, if I recall correctly. Why even put someone on the list if you're going to disqualify them no matter what?

They'll give it to Jobs.

6. As with most Internet polls the results only count if they agree with the pollster's desire. n/t

9. I'll be disappointed if the give it to Jobs.
My personal hope is that they split it between the Fukushima 50 and Seal Team 6. If they just select one, I'm rooting for Fukushima.

10. Good choices
I didn't vote on all of them, but I did vote for those two, and I voted NO on Obama. When he stands up for us, I'll stand up for him.
