Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm GEM$NBC is about to discuss
the bomb in the backpack on the side of the road at the MLK rally in Spokane, Washington.

The silence about this has been deafening - domestic terrorism doesn't matter apparently - just some black folks or some folksy libruls would have been killed - ah well.

1. Should people willing to kill for power be in control of society?
If so you have ruthless people running a bunch of scared people as a societal model.

If that is the case then society has to be broken up into smaller units, and more voices, so that such a threat can not be used against people.

Then again, nobody has corrected beer and travel money either.

So what is the point again?

2. I know! I first heard of the backpack bomb on Rachel Maddow's
program last night. Thought I'd hear a lot more starting in the early news cycle but.....nada.

Instead, I got to hear Joe Scarborough rant about loss of jobs being blamed on outsourcing when he thinks many jobs were lost because the American people haven't been productive enough....OMG! (Sorry, I know this is off topic.)

8. 1. The Times Square bomb was bigger...
2. The Times Square bomb was in a more crowded setting

3. The Times Square bomb actually started to go off

4. The source of the bomb was quickly identified, adding a personal element.

The media isn't "red" or "blue", it's "green". They'll cover whatever delivers an audience. If more substance becomes available, the media won't be afraid to trumpet the details endlessly.
