Mr Zola just got through on the Thom Hartman show

Thom believes that having the homeless at the occupy encampment creates a "conundrum". Mr Zola called in to say that having our homeless more visible is making the wealthy uncomfortable because they have to see them now. And for the drug over-doses, those people are at least around other people where at least they have a chance to be saved as opposed to dying in isolation under a bridge.

The woman who's call followed Mr Zola agreed with him, made for a good conversation.

People shouldn't live in isolation and fear. All people deserve food, shelter, and human companionship. If this makes comfortable people uncomfortable, good.

I really like Thom's show, usually such good conversation and wonderful people who make up his listeners :)

3. It makes me pause when people poo poo occupy because

of the homeless -

For one reason or another, lack of decent paying jobs, lack of mental health care, inadequate health care (going bankrupt when you HAVE insurance), all the ills can be directly traced back to trickle down economics and obscene tax cuts for the rich.
