Abuse Scandal Spreads to Texas for Alleged Alamo Bowl Tryst"

Isn't it a federal crime to transport someone across state lines to commit sexual crimes? Particularly minors? Off hand I can't remember the name of the act, but if it applies to women, it certainly would apply to children.

I thought this needed a separate post to bring out the federal aspect of the crimes.

6. "Tryst" is totally inappropriate
That word signifies a mutually agreed upon, clandestine meeting of lovers...not of a creepy adult man planning to rape a child..

noun: a secret rendezvous (especially between lovers)

7. Thank you for saying this..I get so tired of inaccurate or deliberately...
misleading headlines and news stories. I still own several dictionaries and I know what words mean. I try to use words accurately and correctly to say what I want to say or to convey a message. The underlying message of that headline is that there really is nothing wrong with raping children. Or, we'll hear the good old"fraternity prank" excuse. I am tired of the pathetic excuses for people in power raping and pillaging and stealing.

8. The "Tryst" part of the headline wasn't what I was trying

to highlight..the fact that he took the child across state lines to molest him is what I was trying to bring out.

This factor would bring in the FBI into the mix.
