Let's face it, Republicans don't have any worthy candidate for the Presidency in 2012, so why |
|
is the media, and why are we even BOTHERING to worry about who they put up there?
Romney, dead in the water, even if he is the consistent white preppy guy, who once in a while makes sense, but changes that to NOT making sense within a minute, or within 5 yrs.
The rest of Republican candidates are just plain stupid, and offensive examples of human beings on the planet in 2011 !!
Why do I take the time to say the obvious? Because we need to NOT worry about the 2012 Presidential election, we need to concentrate on regaining the House of Representatives, running oppositional candidates in each and every Republican House, district, and trying to obtain a 60 plus number in the Senate.
Forget every Republican Presidential candidate news report! They are all TOAST!
Dedicate your time and money and energy to every House and Senate race up for election in your own district.

2. Easy as to why the media needs to make this exciting - eyeballs - ads - $$$$ |
|
The MSM for the most part has no interest in the news - just getting people to watch so they can bring in the bucks. Which is why we got rid of cable years ago. They don't have our eyeballs!

5. The media wants a horse race like they had in 2008.. It was a huge money maker |
|
to have Obama and Clinton in it for so long slugging it out, and then Obama vs McCain for the rest of the season.. especially when that train wreck Sarah was thrown onto our national radar. They just want the money that come with the ads. And its easier to cover or create a campaign than to actually cover the news of the nation and the world. If you don't get any info online from around the country and the world and only rely on CNN or if worse, Fox News, then you would be a highly uninformed American.

6. 'None of the above' seems to be their strongest candidate |
|
Same as last time around.
I see the media frenzy as a good thing. The best way to discredit a Republican is to hand him/her a microphone.

get more $ for the networks.
Americans need to focus more on the 99%, and the POSSIBILITY that Democrats can retake the House, and keep the Senate or even control a non-filibuster Senate.
Focus, folks, focus..........that's our real battle and challenge in the next 12 months.
Please stop watching TV, and reading every new revelation about Herman Cain and his next sorry victim.
I'm not unsympathetic about Cain's victims, but I wish someone would spend more time thinking about the other 99% and how THEY can get justice.

9. That may be true for SOME areas, some districts, but not universal, but good... |
|
think more about your local House district or state Senate race if you have one, or both.
We don't need to worry about Romney, or Cain or Gingrich, they all would look ugly compared to Obama, (not perfect, flawed, less than what we would want, but our only choice) in 2012.

10. Why? Simple. Because they get to run against Obama. |

Second term elections are necessarily referenda on the sitting president.
They don't need a "worthy" candidate to win.

11. As for the media. . . . |
|
. . . that's their job. I don't mean to play them up as their corporate masters would like, but just let us know what this week's frontrunners said in the latest debate.
As for us, why are we bothering with it? Just for a good laugh, I guess. Color me disappointed in Obama, but not of the nine ninnies are going to persuade me to vote for someebody else.

12. Why? Politics is the bread and butter of corporate news. |
|
A one-sided race just doesn't bring in the ratings so the media will act like it's a close call.
