(including myself: USAF - 1969-1974) surely fought for was the right of American citizens to peacefully assemble and protest/petition "for redress of grievances" - and NOT for them to have to face police in riot gear or "fellow citizens" calling them names.
I can't do anything about the "fellow citizens" name-calling, but I can and will protest the use of taxpayer funds to pay police to use violence against peaceful protesters.
