OWS it is about to accelerate in the United States.
No, we are not at a tipping point, but we are fast approaching it. Oh and this is a SHORT list of what is pushing this... but if you think people are angry now... just wait.

Cuts to medicare

Keep the Bush cuts, because we know the top one percent have suffered enough I mean we need to protect them from actually paying taxes to this country... preferably, if we could, poor dears, it should go to zero... :sarcasm: (No Mr. Cantor and Mr. Ryan have not taken over my mind, should I include Mr. Walsh?)

Attacks on the retirement and medical of military retirees, that is 20 plus years of service... no, short termers don't get them, unless they got injured.

Oh did I mention student debt? It is going up well beyond the current inflation rate...

It is coming to a head... methinks the tipping point will be the agreement of the super committee...

I see anger starting to really come out here, but just wait. It will be interesting to see that.

1. Yep. I said in a post the other day right after the OPD riot
that all this was happening even BEFORE "austerity" hit. The stuff you mentioned will be the start of the "austerity" for the rest of us, while as always, the wealthy get to keep their tax breaks.

It won't be pretty.

4. Nope it won't
we are at the point FDR said... ok, enough... but we don't have an FDR, or a system that cares right now to save itself from the worst,

2. About the privatizing Medicare, Randi Rhodes always says
she'd like any 65 year old with maybe high blood pressure, maybe heart problems, maybe no health problems at all, go out and find a private insurer willing to give them a policy for $3,000 a year (or whatever the hell Paul Ryan's generous amount is).

10. Oh, I am assuming that Ryan's plan includes putting a halt to the aging process
at about 60 so there will be no problem!

That IS his plan, isn't it?

7. Facebook is how I keep in touch with most of my American friends
since it's too expensive to call and too much work to write emails to everybody, LOL...
And I am seeing a lot more comments about OWS, anger at the status quo, people stating their anger and dissatisfaction.

For example, a friend who is going to owe $40,000 in medical bills because of breast cancer, even though she works full time and has insurance. People are commenting directly about how unjust that is. That's just one example.

11. Republican election campaigns next year should fan the flames nicely.
But the fan might really be hit around this time next year after the elections.
That's when either things will really start to change or it will be I apparent that nothing short of a total rebellion will do
