as well as Jordans, the "police department's", and the thugs, the Alameda County Sheriff's office, in case they are called in again.

Quan is far more stupid than credit given. It's the kind of fear-based decision-making process which creates tragedy. Please pray if you pray for peace or for what must happen to happen for the best for all concerned.

That one has some tabs but it isn't the one you mean.

2. This will backfire too
That's what some Mayors and Governors and university Chancellors don't get. It doesn't matter whether you stop the OWS in your city or state or university. It's everywhere and you can't stop it no matter what you do. They're limited perspective blinds them. There is no stopping this.

"Stop playing politics with somebody that died." :applause:

Saying they have a minimum police presence in Oakland, 2 cruisers, so crime in Oakland is due to Quan's orders, NOT #Occupy!

6. About the homicide:
Apparently a homeless man with a history of mental illness and drug use got into it with an individual from outside #Occupy, a verbal altercation, the youngster lost a fist-fight with the homeless man, called his friends, went back and started another fight with the homelesss man. They ran into the park, found someone and started a fight, which was broken up...they met up again near the frank ogawa statue, another fight, 4-5 shots fired, victim stumbled for a ways, collapsed and died. First-hand accounts. People came from outside and caused this.

OakFoSho has pleaded for mental health professionals to help the #Occupation because the city has done nothing to help those who were in the area where #Occupy set up. #Occupy wishes to help them, is asking for help, chides the city for sweeping them under the rug.

12. "Quan, play your politics, we're not leaving."
Says mayors of Belmont and other cities didn't even know that Oakland was using their cops.

"Shootings are not uncommon in downtown Oakland. It's just kind of the way it is."

They've heard shots fired but no police response. If someone is not killed, no police. It's normal.

"Yes, I know that I look (in the stream) like the Blair Witch Project."

Hotel and Food Service unions are interested in #Occupy, in participating in the November 19th action. Lots of unions interested in participating, audience applauds. OEE, Teachers, CNA, Nurses, SEIU, City Oakland Workers, Sailors Union of the Pacific...Local 2850.

WHat's planned for the foreclosed home? We haven't figured it out dude. That's why we go to meetings. GEt your ass to the next meeting and figure out that question.

33. Whose streets? Oakland’s shadow government presses City Hall to end the occupation
Thanks Nadin for the link.

http://sfbayview.com/2011/whose-streets-oakland%E2%80%99s-shadow-government-presses-city-hall-to-end-the-occupation/

In a letter addressed to Oakland’s Mayor Jean Quan on Nov. 8, two little-known entities, the Lake Merritt/Uptown District Association (LMUDA) and Downtown Oakland Association (DOA) implored Mayor Quan to “step up and provide cohesive, common sense leadership.” Cohesive leadership, according to these two organizations, means giving the Oakland Police Department a green light to eradicate the now month-old Occupy encampment. “It’s time for Frank Ogawa Plaza to be given back to the people of Oakland,” they conclude.

Who are the LMUDA and DOA? What gives them the authority to make such demands? Further, who are the “people of Oakland” referred to in their letter? If those occupying the plaza do not constitute the people of Oakland, then who are the rightful owners of this contested public space?

The privatization of public administration
