Sandusky's home is surrounded by the local grade school
His back yard goes right to the school property.

The family home of Jerry Sandusky, accused of an extended pattern of child sexual abuse, borders the grounds of Lemont Elementary School, in College Township.

In light of that, school Principal Scott Deshong "has taken additional administrative action to ensure our children are safe," State College schools Superintendent Robert O'Donnell reported Friday.

Check the aerial shot there if youthink I am exaggerating.

2. But he has a restraining order.
That piece of paper will certainly put a magic barrier around all kids and keep Sandusky from lusting after them with his eyeballs.

3. If you put this in a work of fiction the editor would circular file the draft so fast..
It would catch on fire on the way.

5. When he bought the house,
he surely saw the proximity of the schoolyard as an "added bonus feature." Pedophiles integrate themselves into communities that provide opportunities for abuse.

6. You know what? Everyone this man ever had contact with is a victim
There are people who knew this predator who had no fucking idea that they were talking to a pedophile. Maybe even someone who would rape their kids if he had a chance to. I'm sure there are a lot of people who liked him and would trust him with their kids. There are major reverberations going on right now that we have no clue about. And some of them go back for years.

He sat at the right hand of Joe Pa, who is like unto a god in PA in general and in that town in particular.

He's practically Jesus Christ there.

8. Mad props to the author of this comment there:
There is a weird careful letter form the principal in the linked article. This comment is racking up "likes":

Seems like the letter should have read more like this:

Dear Parents,

We've come to learn we've had a serial rapist pedophile living for more than a decade a stone's throw from your child's classes. Unfortunately, your greatest hero, and a half dozen or more other grown men who knew about it failed to inform us, or any other outside authority for that matter.

We really have no idea if any of our children were ever seduced to come in contact with this predator, or if he simply lusted from across our playground. Either way, we've upped our level of alertness, and cautioned all our teachers to actually follow the state law "for reals", unlike their peers over at the nearby college. We're pretty sure that the next time something happens, cops may be called. We cannot, however, guarantee that they'll really do anything, as they did not the last time they had a chance.

Hope this helps you.

Sincerely,
Your principal and protector of your children for 50% of their waking hours.

17. "Centre County Magisterial District Judge Leslie A. Dutchcot "
$100,000 unsecured.

Unsecured bail means Sandusky did NOT have to post a dime. Zilch. Nada. Just a promise to come back soon and face 460 years.

24. Framed his life around being an abuser
It's common knowledge that pedophiles work to be around kids, but this is unbelievable! This guy lives by an elementary school, works with young people, and set up a children's charity?

I'm not at the point where I can even bear to think about the number of kids he abused. Every latch-key straggler at the school would have been a target. It's just too much...
