We Need To Take Action That Will Get Attention |
|
If people moving their money from the banks to credit unions was so successful I believe we can learn something from this action. The lesson is, a concerted effort with large participation gets noticed. We can go on our own blogs and bitch all we want but frankly we are bitching to the choir. While it makes us feel better it actually has little effect on the problem. I suggest we do something that gets noticed. If there was a concerted and coordinated movement for voters to switch to Independent to show their displeasure with our politicians we would get their attention. We could all still vote Democrat but we wouldn't be taken for granted. We would become an entity they have to work for to get our votes. Just saying.

2. I agree, but need ideas |

To me, those moves and the outcry that caused BOA to drop their $5 ATM fee show that OWS is being heard. I will see how switching to Independent would play out in the local primaries. Some other ideas might gain traction too.
