I may have been a bit too snippy confronting a Perry apologist
"He did not forget where he put his keys, he plans to eliminate entire departments of government responsible for protecting the nations nuclear weapons (DOEnergy), the US Census which is mandated by the Constitution (DOC), Pell Grants (DOEdu), etc, without a plan on how to meet these vital functions. That isn't a memory lapse it is incompetent and irresponsible. It is a gastroenterologist forgetting where the liver is and a nuclear technician forgetting to check some dials."

Or not.

1. perry is very dangerous - don't let the brain fart fool you
Read Matt Taibbi article in Rolling Stone about perry. Or as I know think of him...scary perry.

2. I once thought Bush Jr would never be elected because of similar things
guess we should underestimate the lapses of the American public.

3. What makes it even worse--not that it wasn't bad as it was--is where he's from.
Texas isn't known for their cute knitted sweaters, they're known for their production of oil. You'd think he'd be able to make the connection between OIL and ENERGY.

It looked like Early Onset Dementia to me, not to put too "Frist" a point on it. Far be it from me to offer a definitive diagnosis based on videotape, but I'd say that little problem he has getting his shit together when trying to speak oughta be something at which his physician might take a closer look.

I don't think you were snippy. In fact, I find your commentary quite restrained, given the circumstances.

8. The Molly Ivins play is running again in Austin
In "honor" of Perry, the actress (Molly's former neighbor) asked the playwrights to include the line "The next time I tell you that someone from Texas shouldn't be president, pay attention!"

11. Like early onset dementia ever stopped a repub from being president...
Although I think it's something much simpler - he doesn't actually believe what he's saying, Probably he just waits for someone to tell him what to say.

6. It wasn't, and may I add...?
You can't be "too snippy" with anyone who in any way supports this waste of human flesh. One must do whatever it takes to open their eyes to just what a loser this guy, and his fellow candidates are.

7. Too snippy? I don't think so.
Unlikely a Perry supporter would understand the big words anyway.

10. He's Grover Norquist's Wet Dream

Perry is probably suffering early onset dementia, is definitely a narcissist with a pathological need for attention, and is obviously a fool easily swayed by delusions of grandeur. He will do whatever Norquist commands as long as Perry gets flattered a lot.

Nixon meets Reagan meets Dubya.....the Perfect Storm for every sociopath on the Right.

Snippy? Nah.

You were much nicer than I'd have been...
