"Middle-class women" haul rainy-day supplies to Occupy San Diego

More than 80 self-described “everyday, middle-class women” brought rainy-day supplies and food to Occupy San Diego Saturday.

“We’re regular women you work with, who drive in car pools, soccer moms, women who have never done this kind of thing before,” said North Park resident Kristen Smith, 47.

Smith said she and a book club friend recently discussed what they could do to support the Occupy movement even though they weren’t able to join others overnight at the downtown Civic Center Plaza. The plaza at B Street and Third Avenue has been occupied by protestors full time for more than one month.

---------------

The woman, mostly in their 40s and 50s, filled five wheelbarrows with food, tarps, blankets, socks and other items. They planned to deliver supplies to the plaza on Saturday, rain or shine.

They got rain.

1. Good for them!
Everyone is helping, it is so inspiring to see people doing what they can and understanding what the MSM still appears to be puzzled over. Showing how out of touch they are with real people.

:applause: for the 'middle-class women'

3. Why is
'middle class' in parentheses? WTF? I don't get it. What if they were 'middle class' men? Right...like they'd bother w/ OWS.
