8. Using Jammers. ... Cute
As I type there must be a white hat/ black hat over ip protocols.

There is more, 24 hours ago I said they'd attack the web next. Gee...why am I not shocked or surprised? And if anybody is....welcome to the world of shadow run by the way, or Neuromancer, the true master.

10. So, their agenda: NOT just clearing a park, but suppressing free expression/info?
Edited on Sun Nov-13-11 10:02 PM by snot
F.w.i.w., there was a rumor during the Katrina debacle that communications in the New Orleans area were being jammed. If I recall correctly, there were supposed to be means of communication that would work even in the event of a power failure, etc.; but for a while, nothing was working.

11. Downtown Portland cell reception sucks, depending on the carrier...
My wife works downtown, right across the street from the Occupy camps, and her cell reception is horrible there. It's so bad that she generally ignores her cell all day until she gets out of downtown. She uses ATT, unfortunately, until our contract is up.

Seriously doubt the Portland Police are using any sort of jammers. They don't have the budget for that sort of technology, especially now that they've paid out over $300K in overtime up until last night. After so many cops on today, many for 24 hours straight, their budget is seriously screwed. But hey, at least they're union, right?

12. Just think of all the money that could have been saved
and used for things that might help the community. But nope, someone chose to use that money to put down peaceful protest instead.

13. same rumor in Denver
all the live streams went out simultaneously before they cleared the park. I wanted to know if people had a signal (bars) on their phones, or not, or if it was only wifi being jammed.
