Thom Hartmann is wrong today. He keeps saying that
there are some IN the Occupy Movement that advocate violence. I have not heard that ever! At the GA meetings non-violence is always talked about as the way for the Occupy Movement. I agree that there are some that will walk with the occupiers and believe that violence is the answer. But Thom is making it it sound like within the group violence is advocated.

Not true! I wish he'd stop.

2. He was talking to a kid from ucal. That's where that is coming from
He tried to correct him in his timeline of civil rights and that MLK did not call for violence.

I heard the interview that went where he didn't expect it to go...

For the record due to the nature of OWS....young man is speaking for himself.

3. Yep. He's giving attention to the handful of people
on the perimeter of the movement who commit acts of violence and not to the 10s or 100s of thousands that do not. That's pretty lame even if your aim is to have a discussion about nonviolence. Or maybe especially if that's your aim.

Pro-violence people are agent provaceteurs. The FBI and CIA have their people inside these movements as surely as folks are eating pizza for lunch.

9. They are not OURS. They don't go to the GA meetings
they don't voice their violent intentions at the meetings so they operate outside of the movement not within.

6. Well, it is true though.
Get any fair sized group of people together, and there are going to be violent asshats among them.
