Teachers caught on tape bullying special-needs girl
When a 14-year-old special needs student in Ohio told her father she was being bullied at school, he figured it was something that many teenagers endure.

Then he realized it was his daughter’s teachers doing the bullying.
“We were shocked,’’ he tearfully said. “We couldn’t know. We didn’t know.’’

After being told repeatedly by school administrators that his daughter was lying about being harassed and bullied, he outfitted her with a hidden tape recorder under her clothes. For the next four days, she recorded a series of abusive and cutting remarks from a teacher and a teacher’s aide at Miami Trace Middle School in Washington Courthouse, Ohio.

2. Oh come on...
Remarks and comments never hurt anyone. Just ask the Michigan Republicans who wanted to allow exemptions to bullying rules based on 'religious convictions'.

(And though it shouldn't be needed....:sarcasm:)

4. More proof that just because one is grown up, doesn't mean they're still not a child.

5. That's just evil
I can't imagine the kind of person it takes to treat a special-needs child that way. Disgusting.

6. One has to wonder why they went into their profession if this is the way they act.

8. Bullying people is a way of life
and there is no real tolerance in America.

for instance if a person were to say that 911 was an inside job and pedophilia is done by older men to younger girls, regardless of the age difference, people would come out of the woodworks to insult and berate that person to no end until they complied and believed what everybody else believed. Why? Because it's okay to be a jerk to a person who is being a jerk. And of course, a person who has their own way of expressing themselves and having their own opinion and not expressing it in the right way is a jerk so they must be punished and corrected.

No, there is no respect and tolerance in America. None at all. They always talk a good game, but any claims of tolerance is just a sham.

into not filing any more complaints:
“(That was) the first time we ever spoke with the man,” Brian said, “and he told us we were bordering on slander and harassment so (we should) let it go <emphasis added> and he would guarantee me the best education possible,’’ Brian said.

12. When I was in high school, we had a teacher who bullied
students if he didn't like them. One of the girls in my class was named Chris Templeston. As there were two or three other girls named Chris in our class, we took to calling them Chris T, Chris A, etc. This teacher picked that up and started calling Chris T, "Christ". She was very upset with that and had the guts to tell him so. That made his bullying worse. Another girl in the class had a dark yellow jumper that she usually wore with a poppy red body suit. It was a really nice outfit (you have to understand this was in 1968-69 and those color combinations were all the rage). This teacher, Mr. Gabriel, called it a clown suit and whenever Barbara wore it he would call her Bozo. But what he did in another class was even worse. He bullied one girl in the 11th grade so badly that eventually her boyfriend did pretty much what this family did and with a small tape recorder over the course of several days got aural proof of the abuse. Her family took it to the Board of Ed and demanded that something be done. Or as her father put it "Either you do something about this or I will." The teacher's tenure was withdrawn and he was fired immediately. We had a substitute the rest of the year.
