Hundreds of police surrounded the “Occupy Wall Street” demonstration in New York City’s Zuccotti’s Park early Tuesday morning, evicting the protesters and arresting about 200 people.
As the morning progressed, protesters took to marching through the city’s streets, demonstrating and trying to decide what to do next. Around 9:45 a.m. EST, a large group decided they would return to Zuccotti Park, after a court issued a restraining order prohibiting the city from shutting it down and keeping them out.
In spite of the court order, Mayor Michael Bloomberg has decided to keep the park closed temporarily, and his order is being enforced by a heavy police presence around the protesters.
