7. This map should help you find places with high foreclosure rates
In the New York area it is hard to find a county with a foreclosure rate worse than 1 in 500. Most are much better than 1 in 1000. Upstate New York has a relatively low foreclosure rate, in the 1 in 10,000 or better range, since there was no real estate bubble up there.

You might try Clark Country, NV, where the rate is 1 in 103. Or possibly Nye County, with 1 in 83.

Or even California and Arizona, where many counties are worse than 1 in 300.
