Warren Buffett: 'My Class Has Won' And 'It's Been A Rout'
There are reasons for optimism inside the U.S. economy, according to Warren Buffett. Just not for everyone.

The billionaire investor, cited as the third-richest person in the world by Forbes, said in an interview with the CEO of BusinessWire -- a unit of Buffett's own conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway that publishes press releases -- that while there have been improvements in some areas of the economy, many others haven't fared so well.

Winners, Buffett says, include corporations, who have seen good equity returns, as well as the wealthiest American citizens. The losers? The housing market and average American worker.

"Through the tax code, there has been class warfare waged, and my class has won," Buffett told Business Wire CEO Cathy Baron Tamraz at a luncheon in honor of the company's 50th anniversary. "It's been a rout."

10. first of all, fuck him. He is wealthy and got his dough sucking
the bone marrow out of industry. So no matter how 'nice' he is now, fuck him. He's still one of them. Always and forever one of them. And he forgets. There are 330 million of us and we all own guns.

11. He is one of them
He recognizes that they had a great thing when everyone was asleep, and he's been telling them for years to keep the greed under control so that the looting could continue forever.

Someone got the bright idea of seeing how far they could push it, though. They pushed it for a LONG time before something substantial happened.

We'll see where things go from here- but it ain't back to the "good old days."

3. Winners don't string up and gut the American workers. Losers do that.

6. Munger Tells 25 Million Americans To "Suck It In", And To "Thank God For Bank Bailouts" As BRK
Benefits From $95 Billion Of TARP Funding

apparently, all those who have been without a job for 99 weeks and more and no longer have recourse to insurance benefits, should "thank God for bank bailouts." Why of course he would say that: after all $26 billion worth of direct BRK investments were the recipient of over $95 billion in bailouts. So when it comes to him, thank god for the bailout indeed... But when it comes to the little man, old Charlie is all about doing the right thing."

7. Warren is stating the obvious in that the wealthy have won in a rout through the tax code which is
sacrosanct, that is off-limits to any tampering except for making it more regressive and thereby turning an ugly rout into an outright slaughter. :patriot:
