If Oswald hadn't been killed so soon after he shot JFK, and if Oswald hadn't said he was a patsy,
Edited on Wed Nov-16-11 09:13 AM by raccoon
I don't believe there would be nearly as much speculation about a conspiracy as there has been these past
48 years. There would still be some, I think. But not nearly as much.

edited for clarity

1. If Velveeta wasn't so spongy and orange, I don't believe there would be
nearly as much speculation about whether it is really cheese or not. There would still be some that disagree, I think, but not nearly as much.

...when you post something insanely obvious (that has been talked about at great length for 4 decades) you will get smart ass replies.

Sorry...

5. what criminal hasn't said they were a patsy??
hhahaha

I like how so many criminals say this but he's the only one the conspiracy theorists seem to believe.

7. Why would anyone think offing Oswald while in overwhelming custody of the police is
basis for a conspiracy?

8. Read James Douglass' "JFK and the Unspeakable"
with its thousands of footnotes and painstaking re-assembly of this shattered mosaic.

Your questions will all be answered.

9. Back and to the left.
The fatal shot came from an angle that caused JFK to go back and to the left.

Review the Zapruder film.

The Zapruder film was not shown to the public until 1975. And then only on a single late-night tv show.

10. Yep.
And the doctors who saw him at Parkland all said the entry wound of the kill shot was in the right of the skull.

11. Actually, no
muscle reflex in response to traumatic brain injury which causes the back to arch and the head to move back; see here: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003299.htm

The technical term is "decerebrate posturing with opisthotonos".

15. If I hit you with a baseball bat
your head will continue in the same direction.

But you suggest that won't happen with a bullet?

Nonsense.

17. Except it didn't
careful analysis of relative positions in adjacent frames of the Zapruder film indicate that Kennedy's head moved violently forward for an instant at the moment of impact. This forward movement was sharp and sudden; the neuromuscular spasm resulting from decerebration was much slower and more obvious in the film when viewed in motion and not frame-by-frame. See here: http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/organ2.htm (there's a picture there, but it's rather graphic and I won't put it in this post, you'll have to look at it yourself).

13. I saw it in August 1972.
At Flamingo Park in Miami Beach, where we were protesting the Democratic National Convention.

Part of the problem was that Zapruder wanted to be paid royalties every time it was shown on TV. His property, his choice.

16. Time-Life owned it, not Abe Zapruder.
They wanted royalties. Or to continue the cover-up.

18. continuing on that thought ...
it makes me wonder ... Gerald Ford was on the Warren Commission that declared it was a single person (Oswald) that assassinated JFK, and allowed the "magic bullet".

And then, later, the guy who lost the election in 1960 to JFK decides to make Ford his VP ... and then, again possibly granting favors, President Ford pardons Richard Nixon ... on the same date that Evel Knievel made his ill-fated "jump" over Snake River Canyon ... probably hoping that the pardoning would be buried under the media focusing on the circus spectacle ...
