The Right wants control of women , baning free assembly, protecting the rich and censor the Internet |
|
and those of us who disagree are 'pirates' and 'terrorists'.
How did we get here? What fucking happened?

2. Then, we'd better get out there and win the 2012 elections, |
|
don't you think? That seems like Job 1 to me. Or, we could sit around and whine about the right taking power. I don't know...I think I'll try my best to make something else happen.

3. Amen to that. Pissed at what the right is doing? The solution is to elect Democrats. nt |

5. Yup. That message doesn't do well on DU usually, though. |

It all makes me wonder. Of one thing I'm certain, if we fail to win in 2012, things will not be getting better.

4. perhaps because we frame things in right and left? |
|
does that not make it much more easier for "the ones" in charge to accomplish so much "inbetween"? What happenes when our Left becomes the Right, will we still get behind it? At what point do we vote just for a brand name, a label, a letter. Actually, nevermind, I think we are already there.

7. Yes they do, and they want a bunch more anti-democratic stuff also. |
|
We got here because wealthy private interests quietly and insidiously took control of our political processes, government, media, and economy while too many of us were asleep.
Some of us tried to wake up the sleepers but they rolled over and shut off the alarm.
But many are finally staring to wake up because of the overwhelming stench of the rotting, diseased elephant in their bedrooms.

10. Most of that is pretty bipartisan. |
|
But we'll be told the answer is to elect more Democrats because when there's a critical mass of right wing Democrats around they'll magically morph into progressives. No, I don't know how it's supposed to work either.
We're also told to elect more progressive Democrats, but as we've found out when labor backed candidates in a primary the national party puts a stop to that silliness in fairly short order.

always and for all time. Brainwash and control the populace, choke off information and protect the moneyed interests.
