11. and getting twisted knickers when you call them on it too
Polls can and do get pushed. Especially after decades of number-crunchers polling - tptb know exactly where to go and the sort of questions to ask to get the numbers they WANT.

Push polls are another propaganda tool of the elites.

5. You don't even have to wait. They're already here:
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/11/poll-public-opinion-turning-against-occupy-wall-street.php?ref=fpb_beta

From Talking Points Memo:

A new national survey from Public Policy Polling (D) finds public opinion souring pretty quickly on the Occupy Wall Street movement.

The poll asked: “Do you support or oppose the goals of the
Occupy Wall Street movement?” The result was only 33% support, to 45% opposed.

In the previous poll from a month ago, when the protests were fairly new and public opinion had not yet had the chance to set in, the result was a very close 35% support, to 36% opposed.

12. Of course. The corporately owned media will start dissing it the closer we get to
Christmas and more so the closer we get to the election. There is no fairness in the news media.

The only thing that can change that scenario is that more and more people will rise up and 'mic check' the spin doctors and join the masses against the suppression of our Constitutional rights as a nation and human rights in general.

15. They are just Making it more Obvious as to Why We Need this Movement
it is exposing the tight connection between the finacial sector and our government, and yes we are seeing fascism right before our eyes. Things will cool only a little, but expect things to heat up again. This thing will grow even bigger.

20. People in the MSM think we're idiots
I think this columnist expressed this condescending view when he wrote:

"Sure, people are paying attention to Occupy Wall Street now. But just wait till something interesting happens on the Kardashians. Or there’s a bust-up on America’s Top Pastry Chef. Or some child pretends to get trapped on a balloon.

"OWS will go as stale as last month’s bread. Look! Over there! Monkeys running amok in Ohio!"

http://beta.finance.yahoo.com/news/why-occupy-wall-street-fail-040134995.html

Unfortunately, people have been easily manipulated and distracted over the previous decade in particular (and throughout history), but there are times when people finally wake up from a dream deferred and explode, to paraphrase Langston Hughes.

24. Well, they tried that at the beginning, after the NYPD
began its crackdown, and we know what happened to those predictions.

'They'll be gone by next weekend'.

'Wait 'til it begins to get cold'.

But not only were they wrong, the movement only grew. Just one month ago there were just under 1,000 cities worldwide with occupiers, now that has doubled.

It's a global movement, AND a global crackdown. All this is doing is proving the message of the movement, that the top 1% controls everything.

And it will continue to grow.
